Nite Ize RunOff Waterproof Dry Bags

Here’s an industry secret: most “waterproof” zippers are actually only nominally water-resistant, giving way to H2O when submerged for just a short period of time. That’s why many waterproof bags instead rely on roll top closures, which are a good deal less quick and convenient. But the folks at Nite Ize believe they’ve found the ultimate middle ground with their series of RunOff dry bags.

According to the brand, the RunOff collection of bags are the first ever featuring a toothless, waterproof zipper. Called TRU Zip, the proprietary technology is silent, smooth, and can withstand being completely submerged underwater for up to 30 minutes. The bags —  available in six sizes and varying styles that range from a small wallet, to a dopp kit, to large packing cubes — also boast a TPU waterproof coating, RF welded seams, and translucent viewing windows. These revolutionary dry bags are priced between $25-$55.
