Nissan Expands its NISMO Parts Line with a Rooftop Tent & Overlanding Rack

This past weekend, Overland Expo held its annual West event in Flagstaff, Arizona, drawing thousands of attendees and over 400 exhibitors from across the globe. As usual, the automotive industry turned out in full force, with Ford, Honda, and Toyota all making an appearance. While they each — obviously — brought some pretty exciting contributions to the show, it’s the new NISMO off-road parts line that’s really what has us excited.

After all, Nissan isn’t a brand typically associated with the overlanding community (at least beyond the Xterra). These rugged NISMO upgrades, however, make for a giant leap in the right direction. The highlight of the collection is easily the Off Road Rooftop Tent, as it offers elevated two-person sleeping at a svelte 132-lb total weight. Crafted using a water-resistant ripstop construction and furnished with a thick wall-to-wall mattress, it’s made only better by its simple attachment mechanism and built-in adjustable ladder. With that being said, the other new Off Road parts are no less interesting, as they enable markedly more utility from Nissan models like the Frontier. The Overland Bed Rack, for instance, features modular high and low designs that can be adapted for extra storage. The Lights and Performance Exhaust, on the other hand, allow you to give your ride some extra shine and sound. All NISMO-branded and manufactured from premium materials, the new parts serve as proof enough that Nissan’s still capable of having fun.

If you’re looking to get your hands on any of these upgrades for yourself, Nissan provides a handy dealer locator at the link below. Some parts like the Bed Rack are already available, whilst others like the Rooftop Tent will hit the shelves come 2022.
