Since its initial launch in late 2007, Nissan’s R35 GT-R has been treated to a number of substantial mechanical updates that have seen the AWD supercar squeeze out increasingly impressive power figures (600hp for the latest NISMO-spec). Though, in the last dozen years, the car has gone relatively unchanged cosmetically. Looking to give the V6-powered beast’s aesthetics an update more on par with the revisions under the hood, Japan’s Liberty Walk has now blessed the R35 with a top-shelf carbon fiber body kit dubbed the “LB-Silhouette WORKS GT Nissan 35GT-RR.”
Bestowed with Liberty Walk’s signature ultra-low, ultra-wide, track-oriented-style, the elite kit is made up of a front bumper, front canard and diffuser, rear bumper, diffuser, and silhouette wing, wide-body fender kit, side skirts, trunk, and hood. Starting at $34K, the kit is offered in multiple styles across a number of different constructions ranging from fiberglass-reinforced plastic to carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer, to a top-of-the-line dry carbon fiber-spec which costs $73,570 — landing it in the same ballpark as the cost of a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE or Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe. Helping to justify the elite aero kit’s exorbitant price point is the LB-Silhouette WORKS’ incredibly-precise and uniform spacing between body panels, along with an absolutely stellar fit and finish only rivaled by the likes of six and seven-figure hypercars.
