Based on the analysis of elite marathon-winning runners, the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus has been revamped into a faster, lighter iteration. Inspired by the marathon dominant Nike Zoom Vaporfly Elite and 4%, the Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo has been constructed to be the ideal fit for your everyday run routine.

These aerodynamic shoes employ the ‘ZoomX Foam’ midsole, which has an 85% energy return, making it the greatest return of any Nike foam yet. It’s also the lightest Nike foam out there, reducing the amount of energy being lost on your run by springing back to its original shape when your foot leaves the ground so that more energy transfers back into the foam. Taking a closer look at the details, its missing a carbon-fiber plate that the Nike Zoom Vaporfly Elite and 4% have; however, this is a strategic move to make the shoes perfect for everyday runs, as it provides a more comfortable kick. In addition, the 10mm offset and 12mm forefoot stack height are specifically designed to help runners store more energy, the heel collar is constructed to curve away from the Achilles tendon to reduce irritation and the waffle pistons in the outsole deliver reliable traction. If you’re a Nike Plus member in the U.S., you can purchase a pair on July 19 via the Nike app.
