As we’ve all learned, wearing masks is a bummer. But they can be a lifesaving inconvenience for ourselves and the people around us, especially as a new COVID variant rears its ugly head. And they can be made better with well-considered design choices, performance-oriented materials, and a bit of creativity. That’s exactly what you’ll find in Nike’s new Venturer face mask.
Touted as Nike’s “first performance mask of its kind,” this 3D-structured, machine-washable, mesh covering was designed specifically to be as breathable as possible, making it ideal for usage during athletic activities. It also boasts a built-in moldable nose cushion and chin insert to help keep it in place even during the most intense workouts. And, the cherry on top of the cake, it has a modular strap system that can be swapped between a secure wrap-around and a casual over-the-ears format, making it great for everyday usage, as well. There’s no word on when it will specifically be released, but it will drop on the Nike store soon for $60 apiece.
