Nike Partners With A Four-Time CrossFit Games Champ For The Latest Metcon 6

Released in its first iteration in 2015, Nike’s Metcon is a lightweight, high-performance, all-purpose cross-training shoe that’s become a benchmark in its product space. Over its half-decade in existence, the activewear brand has released numerous updated versions of the “Metabolic Conditioning” trainer, culminating in the latest version, which was co-developed with input from four-time consecutive (2016, ’17, ’18, ’19) Crossfit Games champion, Matthew “Mat” Fraser.

The Metcon 6 Mat Fraser features a slew of nods to the CrossFit Mayhem Freedom team member’s personality, work ethic, and ethos. The black color base of the shoe is said to represent the “dark space” Fraser enters when competing in order to block out distractions, the sock liner also features the famous Serenity Prayer as well as Fraser’s “Hard Work Pays Off” motto in acronym form, while the four circular symbols on the heel signify the Tennessee native’s unprecedented back-to-back-to-back-to-back titles. The Nike Metcon 6 Mat Fraser is available now in the four-time champion’s signature colorway, with pricing set at around $140.
