Nike Unleashed A Quartet Of Japanese Olympics-Inspired Streetwear Collabs

The 2021 — er, 2020 — Summer Olympics in Tokyo have come and gone, but Nike isn’t done celebrating the spirit of the games. Throughout the summer, the athletic apparel brand has been collaborating with a quartet of international designers on their Imagination of Sport collection that explores the impact of sport throughout the world, and now the brand has put the entire collection together in one place.

Nike collaborated with Japanese brands AMBUSH, UNDERCOVER, and sacai, along with American Virgil Abloh’s Off-White label, to create four distinct capsule collections. The AMBUSH collection derives inspiration from Japanese motorcycle culture and incorporates bright neon colors, while UNDERCOVER’s offerings go for a Japanese streetball aesthetic. The sacai items explore various dichotomies, mixing the old with the new and blending elements from different Nike products together, while Off-White’s capsule aims to blend art with Abloh’s vision for the future of performance apparel. All four capsule collections can be purchased through the NikeLab online store, with pieces starting at $75.
