Nike Is Outfitting Team USA With These Hands-Free FlyEase Sneakers

With the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games almost upon us, Nike has been drumming up support for Team USA by dropping some of the gear its athletes will be wearing. For the most part, it’s been limited to colorways, but joining the Big Swoosh’s lineup is an innovative new sneaker named the ‘Glide FlyEase.’

Like the Go Flyease released earlier this year, the shoe is designed for hands-free operation. However, where its predecessor was intended for inclusivity, the Glide FlyEase is instead being marketed for athletes on the go. As such, it features a flexible heel that collapses upon step-in and snaps back into place for a secure fit. Moreover, rather than laces, the Glide FlyEase makes use of a beefy cable-like elastic cord that holds the foot in place without any need for adjustment. Rounded out by a lightweight recycled upper, a re-molded ZoomX midsole, and some repurposed Grind traction rubber, the result is a shoe that’ll have the Americans rolling in sustainable style. You can catch the Glide FlyEase on the podium throughout the games, and it’ll go on sale for $120 at the link below.
