Nike’s Upgraded Air Pegasus 37 Running Sneaker Is Cushier & More Responsive

In the early ‘80s Nike set out to create a winning “every person’s” Air running shoe that would be comfortable, lightweight, and sold at an accessible price point. In 1983, this mission gave way to the Pegasus shoe: a now-legendary offering in the running shoe space that’s spawned a host of followup versions and generations. Fresh for Spring 2020, the Northwest athletic giant has now unveiled the latest iteration of its long-running Air trainer with the redesigned Air Pegasus 37.

The Air Pegasus 37 builds on the foundation of its predecessor, offering upgraded cushioning and superior responsiveness while retaining the core qualities that made the shoe so popular in the first place. The shoe is equipped with a new breathable, form-fitting mesh upper mated to a waffle rubber outsole, though the most noticeable change to the 37, however, is its implementation of a new Zoom Air bag placed under the forefoot that offers superior energy return, as well as the addition of React foam — a first for a Pegasus model. Slated for a release on April 28, the Pegasus 37 is being offered in regular and wide versions and is available in six different color options. Pricing for the Nike Air Pegasus 37 has been set at $120.
