Kanye West’s ‘Red October’ Air Yeezy 2 sneakers were easily one of the most anticipated releases of 2013. Of course as we already know, a retail launch never saw the light of day – until this past weekend that is.

Out of nowhere, the Swoosh decided to release the Red October silhouette on Sunday, February 9th, as a complete surprise to fans. What didn’t surprise anyone, was just how quickly the shoe managed to sell out – 11 minutes. Several retailers (including Foot Locker) had announced and cancelled release dates last year, and considering Kanye West has since taken his talents to adidas, most assumed we would never see an official release for this sneakers. The shoe was selling for $245 through the Nike online store, and we have no idea if Nike plans on restocking the shoe. If you want a pair, expect to pay a huge markup on eBay. [Purchase]
