Nike Winterizes Their Air Force 1 Sneakers With GORE-TEX Waterproofing

Category: Gear

One of the company’s most recognizable silhouettes, the Nike Air Force 1 is an undeniably iconic sneaker that’s seen its share of special editions. Typically, however, those iterations tend to lean heavily on the style side of things and not so much on performance. Well, that’s not the case at all with these Nike Air Force 1 WTR GTX sneakers that are ready for any weather.

Though they boast the same iconic silhouette, this edition has some pretty notable upgrades. Namely, these kicks are equipped with a GORE-TEX membrane that makes them completely weatherproof and ready for wear in rain, snow, or shine. They’re also fitted with an inner bootie made from ripstop nylon that boasts a drawstring collar for a more snug fit that won’t let in any chill and helps to keep moisture out. Mate that to a grooved Gum AIR sole and you can find plenty of wintertime value in this latest entry in Nike’s THE10TH lineup. Pick up a pair for yourself now for $232 a pair.
