Nike and ACRONYM Team Up to Deliver an Uber-Futuristic Capsule

Praising Nike for its innovation is practically just preaching to the choir, and the same applies to its latest collaborative partner. The universal brand has teamed up with ACRONYM a handful of times in the past, and the two are joining forces once again to deliver on a collection that looks like it’s tailored toward the 23rd century. The latest capsule has a lot to offer, but it is highlighted by a pair of uber-futuristic low-top Blazers.

ACRONYM has been one of the leading names in technical apparel for years now, so it comes as no surprise to see its pair of lead designers throw such a unique spin on Nike’s classic portfolio. We’ll start things off with the new Blazer Lows, which boast cyberpunk-adjacent appeal thanks to their ballistic mesh upper and frailed detailing, the latter of which is a result of precise laser-cutting. While these details are noticeable in their own right, neither of them stands out quite like the removable TPU clip at the shoe’s heel. This unique feature is held in place by six screws and may require some heavy-duty tools for removal. The new kicks will be available in a pair of eye-popping colorways.

Undoubtedly, this Blazer makeover is the collection’s surefire hit, but the remainder of this joint effort is interesting in its own right. From mesh-lined tracksuits composed of glossy taffeta fabric to ghillie stripe-accented jackets and pants, the innovative take on each of these pieces flawlessly combines ACRONYM’s sense of fashion-forwardness with Nike’s ability to push the performance envelope. In other words, this is some pretty out-there gear.

The new design-centric collection from these two huge names will be available at Nike on February 10th, with the Blazer Lows going for $140 and other pieces in the collection starting from $90.

Purchase: $90+
