Nike’s ACG — or “All Conditions Gear” — division is a subsidiary of the sportswear giant that has been churning out rugged, weatherproof products for more-than-three-decades. The sub-brand’s focus has always been on delivering winter-ready pieces that don’t skimp on style, and this ethos directly applies to Nike ACG’s latest offering, the Air Terra Antarktik GORE-TEX.
These textile-laden winter boots are constructed around an extremely-grippy sole made from Nike’s 068 Hard Rubber. The textured rubber material spans the entire length of the shoe, covering the toe box, running backward beneath the model’s GORE-TEX-lined, waterproof, rip-stop textile uppers before wrapping around and covering the back of the heel while simultaneously serving as an anchor point for the shoe’s lace system. Even more noteworthy than the mid’s weatherized elements is its design which manages to deliver on a fashion-forward, street-wear-inspired silhouette while remaining readily identifiable as pieces of bonafide winter footwear. Offered only in a blacked-out, midnight turquoise-anthracite colorway adorned in subtle ACG and Nike branding, the Air Terra Antarktik GORE-TEX is currently available through preorder for $245.
