Nike ACG Continues Its Japan-Inspired Onslaught With The Air Nasu

If you’ve been paying any attention to the stylish outdoor gear realm lately, it’s likely that you’ve seen at least one item from Nike ACG’s unprecedented product onslaught. Alongside this week’s announcement outlining the upcoming ‘Mt. Fuji’ line, the brand has also introduced another Japan-inspired product to its expansive catalog — the Air Nasu sneaker.

Created in homage of Nasu, Japan’s natural springs, hiking trails, and beauteous seasons, this striking silhouette blends the sporty, outdoor nature of ACG’s utilitarian gear, with the subdued stylings of the Nike athletic line. Channeling traits from the brand’s popularized ’90s (and early 2000s) sneakers like the Nike Air Humara and ACG Zoom Terra Zaherra, the Air Nasu features a no-sew rubberized mesh upper, protective rubber on its heel, edges, and toe, and a traction-focused sole that’s been implemented to give it a dominant presence while on the trail. Head to Nike’s website on August 8 to pick up a pair of your own.
