It’s been a busy year for New Balance. They’ve made a drastic push into the realm of streetwear, dipped their toes into the waters of the vintage throwback, and brought many of their most lauded silhouettes into modernity. But amidst the company’s seemingly-endless launch schedule, it seems that they’ve finally hit the nail on the head with their latest outdoor-inspired capsule — a series of footwear offerings dubbed the “All-Terrain Collection.”
The New Balance All-Terrain Collection is a quintessential selection of new silhouettes from the fabled brand, bringing revised variants like the 850AT and Hierro v5 into the spotlight. The 850AT is a well-rounded hiker that places an emphasis on high-end materials and a comfortable fit, boasting durable Vibram accents and Fresh Foam cushioning throughout. A newly-acquired panel and nylon webbing on the shoe’s exterior complement the silhouette’s colorful iterations. The Hierro v5, on the other hand, offers wearers a stylish, street-imbued example that calls upon NB’s proprietary tuned cushioning, a Vibram MegaGrip outsole, and six contemporary colorways to sate city-living trail-goers. Appearing alongside this dynamic duo are the Minimus Trail 10v1 and Crag v2 — two low-key offerings that satisfy opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to outdoor performance.
