While the automotive industry has been placing an emphasis on its transition toward electric vehicles, many of the community’s largest manufacturers have spent millions creating the next big coupe, sedan, or SUV. Instead of falling in line with its competitors, California’s Neuron EV startup has decided to carve its own path, announcing a new commercially-focused lineup that will be revealed at the China International Import Expo in November.
That being said, the company’s modular EVs are familiar in a number of ways. From the consumer-oriented STAR, which boasts a silhouette similar to many of today’s most prolific vans, to the Modular Medium Duty Electric Truck (MET), Electric Bus (EBUS), and the Self Motorized Platform (MAP), which aims to provide smart solutions for humanity’s transportation qualms, Neuron has accounted for almost everything. The most interesting of the bunch is certainly the STAR — a consumer-focused offering that can transition from its role as a van, into that of a camper, and eventually, a truck. The company’s multifaceted approach aims to bring buyer’s a quintessential vehicle that will evolve based on their needs over time. Stay tuned for more information from the company as Shanghai’s China International Import Expo draws near.
