Usually, when people think of countries which manufacture high quality home audio equipment, England isn’t exactly at the top of the list. That is, unless you’re thinking of Naim. If you’ve never heard of them, Naim Audio is the company responsible for the sound systems inside of legendary luxury automobile brand Bentley’s vehicles – just to give you an idea of their products’ overall quality. And now they’ve introduced their latest project, a nexus home audio streaming platform that goes by the name Uniti.
This all-in-one system is comprised of four separate units: The Nova, Atom, Star, and Core – all of which can function either alone or together in any combination. The Core, a compact storage unit, is Uniti’s heart and soul for anyone that wants to keep their music library offline. The Atom is a compact all-in-one player with an onboard 40-watt amp. The Nova, a reference-grade all-in-one, is the next step up from the Atom and has an integrated 80-watt amp. And the Star is the highest end player unit, offering up much of the same features as the Nova, but with an integrated CD drive that doubles as an audio-ripping device, so you can upload anything you have a hard copy of into a digital format. Each of the player units can be controlled via a full-color 5″ LCD touch screen or with the company’s app. And the Bluetooth enabled devices work with a number of streaming services, including Google Cast, TIDAL, AirPlay, and Spotify. Just connect them to your headphones or speaker system and enjoy. [Purchase]
