The HDMI Retro Champ Is A Switch Lite For NES & Famicom Games

Although we’ve just recently gotten word that both Sony and Microsoft are readying their next-gen gaming consoles for upcoming releases, retro video gaming is still very much en vogue for a lot of folks. And while you could settle for the brand-released mini versions of older consoles, they can be a bit limiting. But that’s why we love My Arcade’s Retro Champ — it shines where the competition fails.

This device is designed to play both US-based NES cartridges and Japan-only Famicom ones — giving users the versatility to play whichever original Nintendo titles they want regardless of regional specificity. It’s also fully-portable with a built-in 7″ full-color screen, a battery that’s good for up to five hours of playtime, and its own kickstand for your convenience. Of course, if you’d rather play on the big screen, it also comes with an HDMI output and is compatible with the brand’s Super GamePad wireless controllers. And as a cherry on top of the whole thing, it even comes with its own mini cleaning kit to ensure that all your old-school cartridges are good as new and ready to play. It will be available soon for $80.

Purchase: $80
