MVP Aero Model 3 Seaplane Camper

We all want to “get away from it all” at various times in our lives, but driving 40 minutes and booking a room at the Red Roof Inn hardly qualifies as such.

The MVP Aero Model 3 could redefine what it means to go your own way, as this “most versatile plane” is meant to take you anywhere you want with supremely futuristic panache. It can touch down on land or water, and once it’s down you’ll hardly want to leave it. The canopy moves upwards and back on a 4-bar link to sit atop the engine pylon, thus freeing up the nose of the plane to resemble the front of a classic bass-type fishing boat. You can use the MVP’s 100 hp engine and outboard motor to navigate the waterways, or rest in the hammock between the cabin and tail. It’s all still in the planning phase right now, but it’s expected the base price will be around $189,000. Start saving. [Purchase]
