MV Agusta RVS #1

It’s hardly a new thing to see a vehicle manufacturer start an in-house specialty tuning sub-brand. In fact, Aston Martin recently did with their AMR division. But, just because the practice is fairly common, it doesn’t mean we don’t get excited when certain brands jump onboard. Such is the case with MV Agusta, their Reparto Veicoli Speciali boutique workshop, and their newly announced RVS #1.

There’s not an abundance of information out there about this offering, but what we do know is this: it is based on their Brutale 800 3-cylinder and it offers 150 horsepower. And that might not seem that impressive, considering that it’s only 40 hp more than the base model, but this version also sheds some weight – getting down to just under 352 pounds. How? By adding a titanium exhaust, plating the fuel tank with titanium, and adding aerospace-grade aluminum lateral plates, for starters. It’s also equipped with an “integrated inertial system” headlight that adapts lighting to your lean and velocity. And it features driving modes specific to this model. There’s no word on price, but MV Agusta encourages you to contact your local dealer about an offer.
