MUJI Prefab Cabins

Getting away from our fast-paced world is easy enough, but when you’re ready to make a truck into the nearby forest, you’ll have to find a place to rest your head at night. Usually, you’re stuck with a log cabin, but now, MUJI has created minimalist prefab cabins as an alternative.

There are three cabin designs, and each cabin is mainly created with wood, cork and aluminum. Each of the three designs were conceptualized by three different designers, Naoto Fukasawa, Jasper Morrison and Konstantin Grcic. There are glass sliding panels with wooden shades in each unit. Their ready-made construction makes them ideal for a weekend escape, and the Japanese company’s own iconic take on minimalism can easily be appreciated, as it provides a certain level of charm to each individual cabin.
