One of the key experiences of being human is, at some point, feeling like you need to get far, far away from all other humans. A desire to have some amount of alone time is innate in all of us. Now thanks to Muji’s Hut, you can get just that wherever you please.
Despite measuring in at only 96 square feet, this simple, attractive dwelling offers up a spacious retreat to its inhabitant. The large floor-to-ceiling glass sliding doors allow in a tremendous amount of natural light, while the single window in the back of the house can open up to provide a pleasent breeze. Despite the small measurements on the structure, the patio along the front of the hut makes for plenty of room to have guests or to simply sit outside and enjoy the weather. Like the interior, the exterior of the hut is clad with burned hardwood that naturally resists the weather. More than being easy to maintain, the structure is designed to be simple to put together so you can set up your shelter just where you want it. These are expected to be released in the fall- but unfortunately for us stateside residents, only in Japan.
