MSR Hubba NX Xtreme Shield Backpacking Tents

The brilliant minds at Mountain Safety Research (MSR) are always cooking up new ways to improve their gear. After everyday wear-and-tear, your tent’s waterproof coating and seam tape break down thanks to humidity and moisture, leaving you with a sticky outdoor abode. Thanks to MSR’s new Xtreme Shield System, the Hubba NX Backpacking Tents are more durable than ever.

MSR’s Xtreme Shield polyurethane (PU) contains a molecular chain created to withstand humidity and heat, allowing it to resist the typical deterioration of current PU coatings on other backpacking tents. The Xtreme Shield water-repellent coating is based on 10 years of research and has three times more wear resistance than traditional materials. In addition, the Xtreme Shield System also uses water-resistant durable stitching, along with a lap-felled seam, which is extremely resilient. The outdoor company’s new Hubba NX tents feature this new technology, making them some of the toughest, longest-lasting adventure shelters on the market. Each of their new tents — available in solo, 2-person, 3-person, and 4-person — also features virtually indestructible poles, a ‘StayDry’ door, and a cross-ventilating rainfly. Choose the appropriate tent size from the MSR Hubba series now and start the new year in nature.
