Reebok & MOUNTAIN RESEARCH Join Forces For An All-White Alien Stomper

The silver screen has immortalized a number of iconic shoes over the years, from the Nike Air MAGs from Back to the Future Part II to the PF Flyers from The Sandlot. But when it comes to sci-fi-inspired sneakers, few (if any) are as celebrated as the “Alien Stompers” famously worn by Sigourney Weaver as warrant officer Ellen Ripley in the 1980s hit film, Aliens. Reebok has previously released replica versions of the Alien Stompers with incredible success, ultimately prompting the brand to join forces with Japanese fashion label, MOUNTAIN RESEARCH to deliver a clean, white-clad take on Ripley’s iconic kicks.

Entirely adorned in regular and perforated leather, these all-white sneakers boast the silhouette of Tuan Le’s original retro-futuristic design. MOUNTAIN RESEARCH has bestowed the shoe with its signature style of printing text on the sneaker that explains the functions of various elements, while also adding a few supplementary pieces of script to further the theme of the shoe such as “KEEP IN A SAFE PLACE WHEN REMOVING” and interior tongue MR branding. The upper ankle strap is also removable. Though pricing has yet to be revealed, the MOUNTAIN RESEARCH x Reebok ALIEN STOMPER is scheduled for a release on May 1, 2020.
