Being warm doesn’t have to come at the expense of your mobility. If anyone knows that, it is Mountain Hardwear. Just take a look at their new Stretchdown DS Hooded Jacket and you’ll see what we mean.

This hooded jacket from the outdoor apparel company features a unique baffling structure that not only traps more heat than other jackets, but allows for movement without restraint. That means that while you are climbing, hiking, or on a backpacking trip – your gear won’t get in your way. More than just using a special technique for structuring the down, Mountain Hardwear also made sure to use 800 fill of a responsibly sourced Nikwax Hydrophobic down, as well as a special Dynamic-Stretch Knit fabric and stitching. Now that summer is unofficially over, you can pick up the jacket in five different colors.

Purchase: $340
