The post-apocalyptic drama has proven to be one of HBO’s biggest successes in the past decade, which is justified considering it’s an incredible take on the award-winning game. And while many fans may have labeled the Uncharted film a disappointment, this should surely make up for it.

We could all use a puzzling weekly mystery, and who better to deliver on such than the director who brought us Knives Out? The Peacock exclusive sees Natasha Lyonne star as Charlie Cale, a human lie detector that encounters a string of murders. The cocktail waitress escapes her gig in Las Vegas and goes on to channel her inner Columbo, journeying across the country to crack one crime after another.

Season 4 of this former Lifetime series sees social media’s favorite stalker venture overseas. As the end of last season saw Joe Goldberg flee to Paris, expect to find him spending most of his European journey in London. Award-winning actor Billy Crudup wants to sell you a timeshare, but not just any timeshare — this one is on the moon. Hello Tomorrow! is based in a retro-futuristic world where all of yesteryear’s innovations seem to have become commonplace — in other words, it’s something of a utopia. And while the traveling salesman believes the future is bright, he realizes working with the moon gets pretty dark.

Party Down

Well… are we having fun yet? Starz reviving this once-tumultuously funny band of caterers and wishful-thinking Hollywood hopefuls is something people have been begging for since its short-lived, two-season run. Best of all, the entire cast and crew are fully back in action, with everyone from Henry to Constance dreadfully working for one party after another on-screen as Paul Rudd and Rob Thomas deliver their distinctive brand of wit behind the scenes.

The Mandalorian

Upon reuniting with Grogu, everyone’s favorite intergalactic bounty hunter is making his long-anticipated return to Disney+. The critically-acclaimed show’s forthcoming season is surrounded by one Star Wars-based program after another being churned out by Mickey Mouse and Co., but it’s hard to imagine any new series the streaming service has planned can hold a candle to Mando and Baby Yoda as they venture through the galaxy once again.

Daisy Jones and the Six

This Amazon original series has garnered loads of attention since its first press release surfaced. The series revolves around Daisy Jones, a rising singer-songwriter, and The Six, a famous rock band that virtually everyone has deemed a Fleetwood Mac clone — with one look at these photos, that’s hard to argue with. Along the way, it’ll address the ups and downs of fame and friendship in the music industry.

It wasn’t a matter of will Yellowjackets be back for a second season, but when. The thrilling Showtime drama is making its highly-anticipated return this March, and we’re eager to get a deeper look at each of these survivors’ lives after the fact. With all the lead actors reprising their roles, it’s clear that this upcoming season isn’t holding back.

sUCCESSION

When we last saw the Roy family at the tail-end of 2021, there was a lot of tension in the room, but that shouldn’t be a surprise. With Logan’s game-changing decision to sell the company to GoJo and leave his children entirely out of the loop throughout the process, time will only tell whether they will be able to fend for themselves in season 4.

dEAR mAMA

Grammy-winning director Allen Hughes, best known for his directorial debut in Menace II Society, has composed a moving docuseries detailing Tupac Shakur’s adoring relationship with his mother. Considering Hughes filmed some of his music videos before releasing the ’90s cult classic, it’s fitting to see one of Pac’s former peers tell one of his many stories. Featuring never-before-seen footage and audio, Dear Mama allows fans of the late icon to learn even more about his well-documented uprising and beyond.

thE whITE hoUSE plUMBERS

HBO has a new Watergate story to tell as if the scandal hasn’t conjured up enough films and shows on its own dating as far as All the President’s Men in 1976. This time, though, former Veep showrunner and Seinfeld director David Mendel works alongside Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux, who star as a pair of the notorious White House Plumbers in this adaptation of Egil Krogh’s Integrity, ultimately realizing they completely destroyed the presidency they worked to upkeep.

bARRY

While this photo takes place early in season 3, some fans would say Mr. Coussineau already had his mind made up. With Barry’s wrongdoings finally catching up to him at the end of last season, it’s impossible to assume what the hitman-turned-actor’s next move will be. Will he plan an escape? Will he plead guilty? If we’re being honest, there aren’t many other routes left for him, but we’ll follow each step he takes as soon as season 4 starts on HBO.

bUPKIS

While you’re all probably as tired of hearing his name as we are, Pete Davidson’s upcoming Peacock show doesn’t sound half-bad. Years removed from The Sopranos, Edie Falco resumes her role of rightfully pestering mother in a fictionalized take on the comedian’s real life, whose uncle in the show is Joe Pesci, just to sweeten the deal. And while these sound like the making of a mob movie, we’re still not sure what to expect.

tHE cURSE

The Rehearsal turned out to be a huge success, and while that applies much more to HBO than Nathan Fielder’s subjects throughout the show itself, we still loved it. Before its release, though, we expected a different program starring the painfully awkward showrunner, and it’s yet to reach the masses. The green-lit Showtime exclusive has Fielder starring alongside Emma Stone as the newly-weds realize their attempt to conceive a baby is much more daunting when placed under an unknown curse.

History of the World, Part II

Mel Brooks is reviving the History of the World in epic, episodic fashion with help from an incredible rotating cast, including Seth Rogen as Noah (former ark maker), Wanda Sykes as Harriet Tubman, Nick Kroll as Jesus, and so much more. While it’s been well over 40 years since the hilarious film hit theaters, it’s clear that the history books still have one too many subjects for comedians to make of.

The Idol

The upcoming HBO Max series practically looks like what would happen if Euphoria was about celebrities as opposed to high schoolers, showcasing the sleaziest sides of celebredom and highlighting the minor gap between religious cults and idolizing fanbases. While we’re more accustomed to hearing The Weeknd operate behind the mic, seeing as he played a significant role in Uncut Gems, it’s clear the Canadian artist and A24 have built such a good rapport.

Ironheart

The prized MIT student and tech genius from last year’s sequel to Black Panther is being awarded her own miniseries on Disney+. Following the events of Wakanda Forever, Riri Williams and Parker Robbins are set to take on whatever the MCU’s fifth phase has to throw at them. As expected, several Marvel series are hitting the streaming service in 2023, but this is undoubtedly the most exciting.

Justified: CITY pRIMEVAL

Western lovers practically fell in love with FX’s Justified since it first aired in 2010, leaving fans in the dust since ending in 2015. At long last, the book-to-TV adaptation is returning with this mini-revival series. Timothy Olyphant returns as U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens to hunt the maniacal serial killer known as The Oklahoma Wildman, and while spending some time in South Beach may have served him well, it’s time to get back on the job.

thE maRVELOUS mRS. mAISEL

The shamelessly funny comedian’s journey to stardom has one more string of episodes, but there’s no telling when it’ll hit Amazon. To keep things spoiler-free, Midge came across tons of turmoil when the previous season ended, leaving its creators no choice but to bring her career back to light, assuming things don’t get more tragic for the Upper West Side’s best stand-up act.

The Boys has entertained superhero lovers ever since its gritty sense of humor hit Prime Video. This year, fans of the series will be able to revel in a long-awaited spin-off. In the series, a young group of Supes will have their will tested through a series of battle royale challenges led by Vought International’s crimefighting institution. This format has been proven tried and true through countless films and video games, leading us to believe this will be extremely watchable.

Masters of the Air

The trio of Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman always have a captivating story up their sleeves, and this upcoming Apple TV+ series falls in line with previous tales of tragedy and triumph. Masters of the Air is an adaptation of Donald Miller’s painfully personal book set between WWII-era England and German concentration camps, going on to tell the story of airmen who risked their lives with the 100th Bomb Group.

Ted Lasso

Even when Ted Lasso’s career took a turn for the worst, he still had a contagiously goofy grin, so just imagine how much harder we smiled when things went his way. Even though Nate’s tenure with Richmond came to a controversial end, the titular soccer coach is still in for an exciting return, mainly thanks to a licensing deal with the Premier League and Nike to deliver authentic gear and trophies. As this is rumored to be the final season, it’s only fitting to bring the big guns out.
