MOPAR’s Dodge Ram 1500 Rebel OTG Is A 4×4 Overlanding Monster

The relentless growth of the offroading industry is certainly a sign of the times. As more individuals look for ways to head into the great unknown, enjoy the intricacies of nature, and prepare for everything the trail has to offer, automotive manufacturers have capitalized on the needs of the many, creating quintessential off-road machines like the MOPAR Dodge Ram 1500 Rebel OTG.

For this spectacular trail-faring build, Dodge has called upon Fiat Chrysler’s MOPAR division to supply the truck with a cornucopia of aftermarket parts. The 1500 Rebel OTG, or “Off The Grid” variant, boasts the brand’s all-new 2020 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine and 33-gallon fuel tank to give avid adventurers over 1,000 miles travel on a single tank. We’re expecting this figure to fall dramatically once drivers depart from the blacktop and head onto the dirt-covered byway; thanks, in large part, to the Ram’s two-inch Mopar lift kit, 35-inch Goodyear tires, and mounted rooftop tent, which serve to ignite the insatiable wanderlust in us all. For the times when clearance and 4×4 capability are key, the OTG has been outfitted with a prototype rear bumper to improve the truck’s departure angle, working alongside a bumper-bound winch, widened fender flares, and an integrated snorkel to keep the platform on its toes. To round things out, drivers will be able to open up truck’s split tailgate to gain access to an extendable frame, which houses a gas-powered stove, water system, and cooler for elongated excursions.
