Make Your Own Video Presets Like A Pro Thanks To Moment’s ‘Grain’ Grading App

When it comes to making quality video content, post-production work is what separates the experts from the amateurs. However, for the average untrained user, editing software is often far too complex to yield successful results.

With this in mind, Moment has just launched an intuitive video-coloring app for iPhone and iPad called ‘Grain.’ Designed to make grading footage approachable for everyone, it distills the process down into three core categories, including color, effects, and overlays. Moreover, Grain gives users access to a variety of artsy presets within each setting, such as sunset filters, light leaks, and even a Super 8-style frame. And here’s the thing: it’s incredibly simple to use in practice, with touch gestures and sliders comprising much of the controls. Not only that, but Moment also makes it highly efficient to export your clips into other programs like Final Cut, Premiere, and even its own in-house RTRO app. Though the Grain app itself is free, you’ll have to subscribe to Grain+ ($4.99/month or $29.99/year) if you want access to all of its features.
