Mitsubishi L200 Desert Warrior

We think it’s safe to say that owning a Baja-capable 4×4 beast of a truck falls on every guy’s “to-do” list. Just take a look at this project that was completed in conjunction with Top Gear magazine and we’re sure you’ll agree with us. Dubbed the Desert Warrior, this Mitsubishi L200 was recently showcased at the 2017 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham last month with great success.

The project was completed for an upcoming Top Gear challenge that will be featured in their publication. And knowing the reputation these guys have for “challenges” we can expect to witness come serious carnage with this ride. In preparation for the main event, the L200 was outfitted to stand up to some of the impending obstacles. These include an external roll cage, modified suspension, off-road friendly self-inflating tires, LED lights, and a light bar among other specs that would help it survive some of our planet’s harshest terrain. It’s what Associate Editor for Top Gear magazine Tom Ford describes as “something with the appearance of a Hot Wheels toy and is every bit as tough as it looks.” We think you’ll agree this 4×4 hits that mark no problem.
