Finding a good pair of sunglasses is not limited to the warmer months. As a result, San Francisco-bred label Mission Workshop has reunited with boutique eyewear manufacturer Article One to release new colorways of the versatile Navigator sunglasses.

The Navigator silhouette first came about last year, serving as a collaborative spin on one of the most quintessential silhouettes in all sunglasses. It maintains the integrity of traditional navigators (including the top bar) while implementing high-end materials and a fashionable look that makes them worthwhile. They are available in over a handful of new color configurations, including either black or green tortoise frames highlighted by an eye-popping array of lens shades (no pun intended). Moreover, the Italian Dive CR-39 polarized lenses block 100% of UVA and UVB rays, ultimately preventing any glare when driving or strolling around town.

Structurally, the Italian-made frames are still composed of RT90 polymer, a hypoallergenic material that retains its shape in high temperatures, assuring they are engineered to last. Then, they’re finished with silicone pads around the nose and behind the ear for maximum grip and comfort. Lastly, it’s worth noting that these are labeled all-purpose sunglasses,” implying that they’re ready for anything from the beach to a workout. Navigator-inspired sunglasses are a dime a dozen, but pairs as functional as this aren’t commonplace.
