It’s a well agreed upon fact that copper, when presented correctly, takes on a unique form of its own, standing out among the shimmer and shine of what is commonly considered plush. It’s this very notion that influenced Marcos “Spaniard” Martinez and Web Staples of Ducati Triumph NYC in their “Miss Moneypenny” customized 2015 Triumph Bonneville Standard.
Both gentlemen were looking for a design that transcended the norm; one that worked in turning heads for the case of class. After deciding on the copper theme, the fuel tank, headlight, bucket, inner ring, skid plate and fenders were all removed and plated with a slick, shiny copper coating. British Customs also provided the build with reverse cone mufflers that complete the wrapped exhaust headers, a set of shorty turn signals, headlight bracket and a reg/rec relocation kit. And because this bike needed to be suited to the streets of NYC, Moneypenny was outfitted with adjustable springs up front and piggyback shocks in the rear from Progressive, along with a Canyon Racing wide wheel kit with Pirelli Phantom shoes to keep the bike on the ground. And just like the Ms. Moneypenny, herself, this copper ride will only look better with age.
