Universal Pictures really hit it out of the park with their 2010 hit film ‘Despicable Me.’ The computer animated 3D comedy film went on to be a huge success, spawning a sequel, and now another spin off. Behold the official trailer for ‘Minons.’

That’s right, the Minions we all know and love have been give their very own feature film. Although it’s the third film in the series, ‘Minions’ is actually a prequel, taking a look at the lives of these hilarious little guys before they ever met Gru (played by Steve Carrell). The film will follow the Minions from their original inception (which apparently goes back further than the timeline of human beings) all the way up to 1968 New York as they search for a new master. The animated movie will star voices from the likes of Jon Hamm, Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Saunders, Katy Mixon, and a whole lot more. Expect the film to hit the big screen in July of 2015. It looks like Universal has another summer hit up their sleeves.
