Mini Citysurfer Electric Scooter Concept

How do you get more mini than a Mini? Subtract two wheels and a few thousand pounds and voila! You have the Mini Citysurfer Concept.

Mini is so pumped up about this little guy that they introduced him at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. Combining the get-up-and-go abilities of a kick scooter with an electric drive (and design features in the style of the British premium brand), the Citysurfer goes up to 15 mph and can cover up to 15 miles before needing a recharge in the trunk of your – yep, you guessed it – Mini Cooper. Of course it can charge up in any vehicle with a 12-volt outlet, but wouldn’t you want some brand synergy here? The large wheels roll on pneumatic tires, so cobblestone streets won’t literally kill you, and there’s a height-adjustable steering shaft and smartphone holder too.
