Mil-Spec Builds The Ultimate 500HP Diesel Tactical Humvee

The battlefield-ready Hummer H1 was already a formidable off-road vehicle in its stock form. But Mil-Spec Automotive has managed to take that base vehicle and transform it time and time again into something bigger, meaner, and more impressive. So when we tell you that their Launch Edition #006 outdoes everything that came before it, we want you to understand the severity of that statement.

Easily the brand’s most ambitious build to date, this slant-back tactical-inspired humvee is nothing shy of monolithic with its blacked-out paint job (a polyurethane spray infused with Kevlar for the utmost durability), aggressive front-end cage, and monstrous Air-Ride adjustable suspension system. And it has a beating heart that’s just as formidable: an in-house rebuilt 6.6L Duramax diesel engine capable of 500 horsepower and a gargantuan 1,000 ft-lbs of torque. To elevate this leviathan even further, the brand also upgraded the drivetrain with mil-spec options, equipped a 12,000-pound Warn winch, swapped in LED lights, wrapped new wheels with beefy all-terrain tires, and a good deal more. All told, this 4×4 is valued at $295,000 — so, if you want a similar custom Hummer, that’s about what you should expect to pay, although the starting price is a bit lower.
