With the goal of transforming the workplace into a more productive, efficient domain for creativity, Microsoft is releasing two digital whiteboards. The Microsoft Surface Hub 2S and the Hub 2X, descendants of the Hub 2, are built for meeting rooms of the future, acting as smart display boards to organize ideas.
The Hub 2S will be a 50.5-inch display, which is smaller than previous smart Hub devices, and includes the Surface Hub 2 pen and camera. Powering the Hub 2S is an 8th-gen Intel Core i5 processor and Intel UHD Graphics 620. It will also have a 4k+ display, 8GB of DDR4 RAM along with a 128GB solid state hard drive, and an 8-element microphone system. The Hub 2S has a slim bezel and thinner speakers, allowing it to fit in tight spaces if needed. Whether you want to present an idea, bring remote team members together, or collaborate on a project, this device is built for the job. The Hub 2X with a rotating mechanism and an 85-inch version will be coming next year while the Hub 2S will hit shelves in June for $9,000.
