Microsoft Fingerprint ID Modern Keyboard

Well. It finally happened. Apple got swooped on by Microsoft. Despite being the first company to really bring fingerprint technology to consumer electronics, Apple has yet to integrate Touch ID in their desktop keyboards. Microsoft, however, just introduced Fingerprint ID in their brand new Modern Keyboard.

Rather than sticking out like a sore thumb (sorry, we had to), the fingerprint pad is located rather unassumingly on one of the keys. That means all you have to do to unlock your PC is tap a single button with your finger. Not bad. As for the rest of the keyboard, it is solid, but nothing that’ll knock your socks off. In fact, it looks a lot like the Apple keyboard. It is super slim, features an aluminum top case, and a Bluetooth 4.0 connection for wireless use. All things said, if you are a PC user looking to free up your desktop of unneeded wires – this is a great pick.
