For just about as long as the James Bond film franchise has existed, various toy manufacturers have produced licensed slot car sets in conjunction with each movie installment. Scalextric is one such outfit that’s made 007 slot car sets since the release of its Goldfinger kit in the 1960s, and it’s continued this partnership through contemporary times, with the majority of Bond flicks recovering an accompanying slot car set. And the franchise’s upcoming, No Time to Die movie is no exception, with the British toy company unveiling a slot car kit to commemorate the forthcoming film.
The new kit contains a 1:64 scale vintage Aston Martin DB5 and Jaguar XF that can be raced together on the set’s included track pieces which, in addition to including a loop-the-loop, can be configured in some nine different circuit setups. The controllers can also have their speed slowed by 25, 50, or 75%, enabling even the most trigger-happy of youngsters to enjoy the set without the miniaturized 1960s classic cars flying off the track at every corner. Interestingly, the set is also battery-powered, running off four AAs. The Micro Scalextric James Bond: No Time to Die 1:64 Slot Car Race Track Set is available now with pricing set at $55.
