Michael Jordan’s $29 Million Chicago Mansion Up For Auction
The greatest player in the history of the NBA is looking to sell his lavish Highland Park, Illinois home, and Michael Jordan’s people have decided that the best way to do that is to hold an auction.
His Royal Airness originally put this museum like residence up for sale in February 2012 for a staggering $29 million, and after no bites had to lower the price to $21 million in January 2013. Jordan was still unable to sell this property, and will now take to the auction block (starting bid of $250,000) to sell the famed property. Crowned “Legend Point,” the home is located in a quiet Chicago suburb, and features 9 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms sprawling over 7.9 acres. The home’s amenities are more resort than personal residence, and include a 15 car garage with heated spaces, fully equipped beauty salon, 500 bottle plus wine cellar, home theater, tennis court, putting green, cigar room with walk-in humidor, and of course a regulation-size basketball court complete with locker rooms. The home will definitely require a special type of buyer when it goes up for auction on November 22nd. [Auction]
