Merrell Wilderness Legend Waterproof Boots
In 1981, Randy Merrell crafted his very first pair of utilitarian boots for a small group of outdoor enthusiasts — and nearly three decades later, the Merrell name is paying homage to their original boot, the M1 Wilderness, with an updated iteration called the Wilderness Legend.
The Wilderness Legend features a mixture of the M1’s original Horween leather, a smooth, long-lasting material that’s designed to improve over time. They also feature buttery smooth Buccaneer leather, a powerful waterproof derivative using Horween’s own proprietary formulation. The marriage between these two materials allows the boot to maintain an even greater resistance to elements than the original. The shoe will also include a Bellows tongue to keep out any unnecessary debris, a sheepskin lined and wrapped footbed for warmth, and a long-lasting Vibram outsole — perfect for taking on any terrain in any weather.
