Here’s What The Mercedes G-Wagen Looks Like As A Lifted, Cab-Over Adventure Van

Having worked at Ford, Lamborghini, and even Rezvani, Germany-based industrial designer Samir Sadikhov is no stranger to off-the-wall automotive creations. On the contrary, his portfolio is packed full of truly unique concepts, including everything from visionary Indy Cars to neo-retro Alfa Romeo recreations. Sadikhov’s bread and butter, however, lies in transforming iconic off-road vehicles into boxy forward control vans.

The latest of which is the Mercedes-Benz ‘G-Van’ concept you see before you. Based on the Three-Pointed Star’s G-Class luxury SUV, it ditches the entire hood, engine bay, and front end in favor of a stretched cab-over configuration. What’s more, you’ll find that Sadikhov has given his G-Van a host of adventure-ready upgrades, like some auxiliary lighting to see the road ahead, an aggressive bull bar to protect from debris, as well as a roof rack to carry various outdoor essentials. Of course, some added parts alone won’t improve the vehicle’s off-road chops. Accordingly, then, Sadikhov has fitted the G-Van with a sizeable suspension lift and a set of chunky BF Goodrich A/T tires. And, while there aren’t any details regarding the drivetrain, we can only hope that it would feature a meaty 4.0L AMG V8.
