Mercedes-Benz Concept A Sedan

As smooth and streamlined as the wind funneling across its sleek new body design, the Concept A Sedan from Mercedes-Benz – revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show – is a modern feat of aesthetics. The goal here was to build the ultimate compact yet premium sedan in response to increased consumer interest in more compact automobiles. And, of course, leave it to Mercedes-Benz to knock it out of the park.

The concept was designed with the proportions and detail of a coupe in mind but with the luxury of a premium four-door ride. It’s evident in the body design of the car along with the fierce front end complete with a deep Panamericana grille, a large AMG-like lower air inlet, and a set of unique headlights featuring an intense grid structure that’s easily recognizable. These headlights were coated with UV paint and as a result, glow in different colors depending on the type of light hitting them. It’s also outfitted with dark tinted privacy glass and a panoramic glass roof for good measure. No word on a release date just yet.
