Mercedes Designed Its All-New AMG Roof Box For Unrivaled Aerodynamic Utility

Rooted in 1960s racing engine development, today Mercedes-AMG makes some of the most performance-oriented luxury vehicles on the market. And with models like the GLE 63 S Coupe and the E 63 S Wagon, they happen to put out some pretty practical offerings too. But all trunks have their limits, and sometimes you need just a bit more space. Besides, it’s not worth risking the integrity of your interior for the sake of fitting some extra luggage.

Thankfully, you don’t have to slap any old roof box on your ‘Benz. Engineered and tested by the AMG High-Performance Team, this AMG roof box is unrivaled when it comes to aerodynamics, handling, and noise omission. For instance, it features integrated handles and a rear diffuser specifically optimized for efficiently cutting through the wind. And with comet-grey magno paint, exclusive AMG badging, and an aggressive rear fin, it also looks the part. Made of a hard-wearing plastic, the AMG roof box can hold up to 410 liters with a max payload of 70kg. Available in two versions, there’s one specced for most Mercedes vehicles, as well as an additional model developed for coup√© use. Prices have yet to be announced, but it’ll drop this November.
