Meerkat

Another day, another viral app for the kids to go crazy over. Streaming video is a concept that has become increasingly popular, and Meerkat looks to take things to the next level with their iOS app.

The concept is simple, really. Meerkat connects with Twitter, and once you start filming, the app will live broadcast your camera to all of your Twitter followers at once. How do followers know when you start live streaming? They will be push notified, and once they join the live stream, they’ll also have ability to comment and interact, all in real time. Much like Snapchat, the streams are live only, and can’t be re-watched. You can however, save the save the streams to your own phone. [Free Download]
