The British team at McLaren is looking to take on the Porsche 911 and Audi R8s of the world, developing a sports car that will not only tear up the track, but will also be suitable as a daily driver for trips back and forth from the office. That car is the McLaren 570S.

The automaker is debuting an all new range of supercars dubbed the Sport Series, with the exact intentions mentioned above. And if the first model is any indication of where the brand is going with this, then we’re excited to say the least. The 570S is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive model packed with an updated version of their current 3.8-liter V8 twin-turbo engine. This new setup will pump out 562 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque, propelling the 2-door to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 204 miles per hour. It’s also worth noting that there is more luggage space available in the 570S than any other McLaren ever made – furthering the notion that a practical, daily-driven sports car is the end goal here. No pricing has been revealed, but early guesstimates put it around $180,000. [Purchase]
