Maze Marble Gaming Console
Who wouldn’t want an arcade game in their house? Still, sticking a gigantic coin-op in your living room is anathema to those who seek a more modest, elegant interior design for their homes. While it isn’t quite space invaders, Marco Iannicelli’s Marble Maze is a beautiful, urbane joystick-based game that doubles as a piece of artwork perfect for any modern home.
Known for his beautiful furniture designs, Iannicelli has thrown his hat into the gaming world. He declares his Marble Maze the first ever analog and electronic game. It works simply enough; the maze is constructed by seven concentric circles on its face, which can be tilted and rotated every which way. The labyrinth is designed with no beginning point and no end point, so you can amuse (or frustrate) yourself for large chunks of time. Through its ability to be rearranged and fluctuate, Iannicelli seeks to make a comment on the playful and illusory nature of space and time. The beautifully carved marble piece would make an excellent addition to any modern home. Show off this half-sculpture, half-entertainment system for your guests; the maze by Marco Iannicelli is sure to amaze.
