Mate & Moncler Team Up On An Ultra-Limited Handmade 32MPH Folding eBike

May 7, 2020

Category: Rides

To say that the folks at Mate.bike are experts in crafting useful and beautiful urban mobility solutions is perhaps a bit obvious. In fact, their first crowdfunding campaign garnered a whopping $6.8 million USD. Despite their expertise, they’re not above collaborating with like-minded organizations, as evidenced by their latest endeavor: the Mate x Moncler Genius 2020 Limited Edition eBike.

Despite the design prowess of apparel brand Moncler, this new folding bike is a lot more than just an admittedly gorgeous makeover. In fact, this ultra-rare bike is actually the fastest and strongest Mate bike to date — capable of both urban travel and mountain exploration. On top of its 32mph top speed and impressive torque delivered by a 1000w motor, and 70-mile range charged by a 48v Samsung Li-Ion battery, it’s also the very first 4G-connected smart bike from Mate — boasting a touchscreen control center, wireless customization of its performance tuning, remote tracking, and a unique Self Destruct Mode (which renders the bike functionally useless in the hands of thieves). Available in two stunning colorways, Peak White and Deep Black, you can back the project on IndieGoGo right now for $2,696 and up.
