Matador Beast Packable Technical Backpack
Generally speaking, products that pack into themselves just aren’t going to be very tough or capable. It’s just a common compromise that goes along with increased portability. This goes for bags, jackets, blankets, and just about anything else. Matador decided to change all that with the Beast28 Packable Technical Backpack.
Not only does this pack exceed our expectations for a foldable bag, but it measures up pretty darn well against most normal backpacks. The Colorado-based brand constructed the Beast28 from a tough PU coated ripstop nylon that is designed to repel water, keeping your gear safe from the wet and cold stuff. And with 28 liters of storage – you can really carry a lot with you. Whether it be books, camera equipment, or a hydration pack for long hikes, it has room for it. For comfort while hauling all of your gear, Matador even included lumbar padding, a hip belt, sternum strap, and shoulder straps that are built to be ultra breathable. Even with all that capability, it still packs down to the size of a softball. Not a whole lot of compromise going on here. Make it yours for $89.
