Since the company’s inception in 2015, MasterClass has quickly become one of the best online resources for learning new skills, with an ever-growing catalog of video lessons on a wide variety of topics. Each lesson is taught by undisputed experts and authorities in their field, such as acting classes taught by Samuel L Jackson, skateboarding lessons taught by Tony Hawk, and cooking lessons from Gordon Ramsay, just to name a few. Despite its already robust content library, MasterClass has now revealed that it will be adding a new outdoor survival course taught by renowned survivalist Jessie Krebs.

On top of being a seasoned wilderness survival expert, Krebs is also a former Air Force SERE (survival, evasion, resistance, and escape) specialist, making her one of the most qualified people on the planet to be helming this course. Made up of more than four-and-a-half hours of well-produced videos, the entire course’s 16-part lesson plan includes essential survival training on areas such as what Krebs calls “the survival mindset,” building a shelter, building out a survival kit, signaling, navigation, food rationing and foraging, finding fuel, and introductions on how to use key tools such as knives, rope, clothing and equipment, and a map and compass.
