Master & Dynamic’s true wireless earbud range has long included both regular and sports-specific models. So when the American audio outfit recently unveiled its new flagship MW08 earbuds, we knew it was only a matter of time until we saw a sports version. And that day has now come with the release of Master & Dynamic’s new MW08 Sport.
Like the new flagship earbuds, the Sport-spec retains the regular model’s IPX5-rating, 42 hours of battery life, 11mm Beryllium coated drivers, 100’ range, Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, Qualcomm hybrid active noise cancelation, integrated machined aluminum nano-bodied antenna ring, and proprietary wind reduction half-dozen microphone setup. The standard MW08 earbuds’ ceramic and aluminum earbud construction has been replaced with a lighter and more durable sapphire glass and aluminum setup. What’s more, the already hardwearing stainless steel wireless charging case has been swapped out for a woven Kevlar carbon case that’s 36.5% lighter, tipping the scales at just 56-grams (or 0.12lbs). The earbuds themselves also offer 12 hours of music playback, and the MW08 Sport can receive a 50% in 15 minutes (or a complete charge in an hour). Another major difference is the MW08 Sport’s wireless charging case can now be wirelessly charged, and to take advantage of this, M&D has unveiled a milled steel wireless charging pad. Available now, the Master & Dynamic MW08 Sport Active Noise-Cancelling True Wireless Earphones are offered in four color options and have been priced at $349.
