It should go without saying that FLACs provide a much better sound quality than your typical MP3. Unfortunately, most smartphones don’t play FLACs, so you’re usually stuck listening to the less-than-ideal sounds of Spotify or whatever MP3s you own through Google Music. But now there’s some exciting news from Marshall, one of the most recognizable brand names in pro audio equipment: the company will enter the smartphone market with an Android phone of their own.

Their Android smartphone will be simply called The London. The London will have a 4.7 inch 720p display, quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 2500 mAh removable battery. As far as the camera is concerned, it’s just 2MP in the front and 8MP in the rear. So far, the phone sounds less-than-impressive, right? But the London has some truly unique features that music enthusiasts will find useful, such as high-end audio processing, dual 3.5mm headphone jacks and dual microphones. And, it looks as impressive as it sounds. The London will hit parts of Europe on August 17 for roughly $600.
